Jen is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Shotokan Karate. She designed and implemented the Lil Dragons program for kids ages 3-5. Jen also teaches private lessons and works with advanced students helping them to prepare for their Black Belt tests. Last year Jen implemented a new program called “Leadership” for kids ages 10-16. This program involves some martial arts including weapons training and also teaches the kids leadership skills by involving them in community service projects. Jen is also an advanced qigong practitioner. She trained in Philadelphia for 10 years with Master Faxiang Hou. She teaches fasting classes at Family Martial Arts Center 3 times a year. Jen also runs karate birthday parties at the school.
Outside of martial arts, Jen has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. She graduated from Immaculata University. She is also a fine arts artist and studied with Eo Omwake for 5 years. Jen sells and shows her work in the tri-state area. Jen recently moved from Arden, Delaware, an artist community, to Coatesville. Jen was invited to particpate and show her work in the Arden Artist Studio tour for the past two years. She teaches art classes for kids and adult at Family Martial Arts.
Lastly, Jen has 3 children who all trained to 2nd degree. Andrew Fowler, 33, of Orlando Florida; Evelyn Aharonian, 25, of Conshohocken; and Jaimee Saemann, 20, who is currently attending Bloomsburg University.
